Today you get “new” iPhone – DinSide

Your page If everything goes according to plan (and it does so as a rule) is iPhone and iPad owners a major update today.

When released iOS namely 9; currently the latest version of Apple’s operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Good news is also that downloading iOS 9 upgrade now “only” requires 1,3GB storage on phone, against 4,58GB as was the case when you upgraded to iOS 8.

What’s New?

Among the news this time is a brand new nyhetsapp, which provides a curated content of news about things you’re interested in; from certain sources in a new format that is specifically made for nyhetsappen.

For us Norwegians is one of the biggest news that Siri, Voice assistant you can talk to , finally understand Norwegian. We tested Norwegian Siri earlier this summer.

You can also expect updating of a number of default app – note app, maps app and so on. iCloud Drive is also a new app this time and gives you full access to the files you have stored in iCloud – in a folder structure.

Apple also promises better battery life than before and faster performance.

… but you should download immediately?

A major upgrade like this rarely entirely painless for everyone. Often it will be easy valiant and services from third parties that are not working as they should; Whether the fault lies with Apple or by the third party.

– NOT UPDATE: The Swedish company iZettle has sent out a request to its clients not to upgrade to iOS 9.

Among other things, the Swedish company iZettle, which stands behind a popular payment, sent out both email and SMS to their clients that they do not need to upgrade to iOS 9 because it is not then possible to use the wireless card reader towards the phone.

Apple should have recognized the problem and will therefore fix it in a future update. But is iZettle a vital part of your everyday life, you should in other words not upgrade right away.

There have also been problems in the past. Among other things, would not BankID work for users who upgraded to iOS 8.2, and also when iOS 7 was launched there were many who were having problems.
