Here is Tooji application that church agreed to – TV 2

The artist Tooji Keshtkar (28) stood out as gay Monday with a new music video, shot in Frogner Church in Oslo.

In the controversial video simulates Tooji sex with the priest in front of the church’s altar. The video has received mixed response both in church circles and among prominent gays. According Frogner Church broke Tooji and his team agreed to remove the church interior from lovemaking scene. But it rejects Tooji.

The embrace

A note that TV 2 has accessed contains Toojis inquiry to Frogner ward ahead of video recording. The application describes the artist’s thoughts about the video. It says among other things that the male priest and Tooji will be naked and “intimate through the embrace.”

“This scene will be accomplished poetic, symbolic and beautiful with the love between the two in focus and with angel wings that hug the two from above “, according to the application.

– For far

Tellef Raustøl leader in Frogner parish, was one of the people who handled the application and which gave the artist permission to record video in the church. He believes video is something other than what they agreed to.

– In the video, the main stage become one lovemaking scene that goes far beyond what is described in the project Parish Council got himself submitted, says Raustøl Monday.

– This does not belong in the church room, he said to TV 2 the same day. On Tuesday night would not Raustøl to give any further comment to TV 2.

– Can be repulsive

Tooji highlights gay trouble gaining acceptance in the church as the main motivation for making music video.

But the Christian gay organization ” Open church group for gays and lesbians “are divided on the artist’s choice of method of promoting gay rights.

– There are very different views within the hour church group on the Tooji did. Some are very for it and believes he is helping to bring the matter further, while others are adamant that this destroys the case for us, says Frode Kinserdal in GE-Oslo TV2.

– Is it so bad to the church as Tooji claims?

– Being gay in the church becomes more and more accepted . I do not know who he really is trying to reach. If the goal is to reach someone who is against that gays should have a place in the church, so are the means to strong and can be repulsive, says Kinserdal.

– In many ways, he is helping to challenge and create a discussion, but personally I think it is on the edge when he uses the kind expression.

– I’m glad you finally come out of the closet Tooji but would also prefer that you did it in a different manner, writes celebrity stylist and blogger Erlend Elias (32).

Support from an unexpected source

Norway’s Student Christian Federation believes the church should withstand a music video in which the artist simulates sex in front of the altar.

– This is an artistic expression. I think it’s more problematic to discriminate gays than to simulate a sex scene in a church room, says manager Tonje Catharina Eide.

She believes the church must endure even more.

– The church must be generous when it comes to sexuality. They have a long history of closing its doors to homosexual activity, so I think they should be very generous, says Eide.

Criticism

Tooji has been criticized from several quarters for the video.

The Norwegian church sent out a press release Monday in which they condemned the video.

Bishop of Oslo, Ole Christian Kvarme called video totally unacceptable and constitutes a grave abuse of the church.

The same day went celebrity stylist Erlend Elias, who is known through several television applications, hard against Tooji in a blog post. Read post at # 2sitert!

– I think it destroys what I’ve worked for. We must conduct ourselves as fine people, although we are gays, says celebrity stylist Erlend Elias to TV 2.

Tuesday morning met the artist and stylist on TV 2 News Channel.
