iPhone 5 vs Note 2 vs Galaxy S4: Bigger They Are… - Tekrieg

If you want a large handset then Android devices are you best option with one of the biggest devices on the market right now being the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Apple have increased the size of the iPhone 5 too however it is still nowhere near to the size of other large screened devices that are on the market and because of this many users after a big screen device will be looking towards Android.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 & S3 vs iPhone 5: measuring up the competition

While the Samsung Galaxy S3 has since seen a successor, the S4, it would be unfair to put it in this comparison given that is is naturally designed to rival the future iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. So instead the Samsung Galaxy S3 is used in this comparison. Let's get started.

While the Samsung Galaxy S3 was ahead of the iPhone 5 in terms of sales figures last year, a recent report by PopHerald suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is making its way to the top spot at an accelerated rate. The blog says that supply checks with numerous retailers have showed that the for every 2 Samsung Galaxy S3 units sold, 3 Samsung Galaxy Note 2 units are sold.

Of course there are many other things to think about other than screen size if you are making the move from the iPhone to its rivals, the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the Note 2. Let's take a look at the two rivals.

When it comes down to a choice between the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Note 2, both devices are very much alike. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with a screen of 5.5 inches, but other than that they both look very similar. They both have an 8 megapixel camera too. However there are some major differences. For one the Note 2 is the latest handset and it comes with a processor that is more powerful.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the quad core processor of 1.6GHz and it has 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S3 has a dual core processor and 2GB of RAM of RAM in the US, while internationally this is a quad core with 1GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the larger battery and gives longer battery life than the S3 and it comes with Jelly Bean preinstalled. The Samsung Galaxy has ICS, but if you are with Sprint, T-Mobile or AT&T then you can update, Verizon nor US Cellular has rolled out the update yet.

If you want the latest specs and technology then it would be the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 that would win. However it is a large device and this is something that doesn't suit everyone. If you don't want something as big given that you are moving up from a much smaller iPhone, then the Samsung Galaxy S3 is a great buy.
