Oil Downturn lowered exchange – hegnar.no – OBI Online

The main index on the Oslo Stock vacillated Friday morning between plus and minus, but stabilized since the minus along with oil prices.

The index ended the day at 584.72, down 0.75 percent.

Shares and equity certificates traded 2.85 billion.

Leading European exchanges also pulls down.

British FTSE 100 falls at closing in Oslo by 0.47 percent while German DAX and French CAC 40 falls respectively. 0.44 and 0.39 percent.



We Doha

Oil prices fall back at lunch time, after a slight increase in the morning.

Brent June oil are $ 42.40 a barrel, down 3.28 percent in today’s trading.

WTI oil falling 3.25 percent to $ 40.15 a barrel.

Investors are reluctant according Reuters to take new positions ahead of the weekend’s Doha meeting.

A number of major oil producers, Saudi Arabia and Russia, are going to try and agree a contract to produce freezer.

– Momentum is building behind a deal that will likely exclude Iran (and potentially Libya). While the effect on the physical market is expected to be small, such an agreement represent an important psychological shift in the pricing of oil, writes Jefferies according to news agency in a note Friday.

Otherwise, it was Friday known that Iran’s oil minister will not attend the meeting. This contributed to lower oil prices today.

On the Oslo Stock Exchange fell Statoil 1.36 percent to 130.70 kroner.



Seadrill saw red

Seadrill marked negatively Friday and fell 9.58 percent to 30.20 kroner after severe downturn in the US last night. The stock was thus today’s third largest loser.

Storebrand went back 3.81 percent to 31.77 million, while Frontline was down 5.15 percent. PGS and TGS Nopec both decreased by around two percent, while Yara was down just under one percent.

Aker Solutions fell 0.67 percent to 29.80 kroner after billion contract with Petrobras.

Skandiabanken marked on its side with a rally on 7.68 percent to 49.10 kroner in the wake of Skandia shares to Altor. The new majority shareholder has big plans for the bank.

Norwegian gained 2.62 percent to 356.40 kroner.

We note further that Subsea 7 climbed 1.56 percent to 68.35 million, while the wounded Prosafe was up 2.16 percent to 5.67 million.

These were Induct-Me, which topped the list of losers with a fall of 14.29 percent to 12.00 million, and Hofseth BioCares who pulled down 9.70 percent to 1.49 million.

at the other end topped Aegae winners with rally at 22.64 percent to 3.25 million.

Seadrill controlled Archer came in the square behind with plus 17.92 percent to 5.79 million.
