High salaries can provide downsizing of Innovation Norway – Dagens Næringsliv

136 employees at Innovation Norway serve over 800,000 per year, and they have been more in the past year. Without appropriation or amended remuneration policy, the downsizing will be required.

An internal memo shows that in just one year has been 39 more who earn over 800,000. Number of employees million salary has increased from 27 to 38, Dagsavisen.

“The trend also seems too large to be explained by competence shift, and may seem startling in a state-run enterprise,” it says in the memo newspaper had access to.

Wage growth comes as the company is in a restructuring phase and got cut funding from the state budget with 107 million in 2015. The consequence of that is a reduction of 60-70-years, wrote CEO Anita Krohn Traaseth in his blog this spring.

Concern

The note also states its concern about the necessity of a new downsizing round unless grants or wage policy changes.

The company has a new management team, which according to the Information Department is to explain salary jumped. In addition, some have greater responsibilities.

There should be plans to do something about pay policy. Among other things, the number of managers at “managerial level 2″ down from 69 to 43. It should be completed in the next year.

– No plans

In a press release Thursday afternoon rejects Innovation Norges CEO Anita Krohn Traaseth Daily newspaper production.

– There are no plans for new job cuts as a result of changes in management salaries in the company. This will never be an argument for new cuts. Nor is wage spiral that has characterized Innovation Norway in restructuring year 2015 says Krohn Traaseth

She notes that their earnings have exploded and refers to the wage settlement for 2015 resulted in an increase of 2.4 percent for managers outside Convention against 2.8 percent for other employees.

– We go through an extensive restructuring process where we both cuts and invest for the future. We have also had to make necessary investments in new managers and new expertise to at all be able to lead and implement the restructuring we are facing, continue Krohn Traaseth.
