– We will drive a farm to take care of the old Norwegian livestock species. Almaas farms are well suited to it, says Kurt Oddekalv, leader of the Green Warriors.
Oddekalv emphasizes that NMF made decisions about farming for many years ago.
– This is not something we have designed specifically for Almaas farms, he says and adds. – The only argument against giving the right to lease us is that we are not from Åsane.

The third application comes from a newly formed association called Almaas Culture and Landscape Farm.

The municipality has announced competition to hire Almaas farms. A workgroup is underway to undergo applications. Environment Federation and the Association Almaas Culture and Landscape Farm both want to hire a person to operate the farms. Their operating budget is respectively 1.2 and 1.5 million annually.
Almaas Farm The Friends have an annual budget of more modest 180,000 dollars.
Just NMF has delivered a detailed investment plan. Rearmament of the 11 buildings on the two farms are estimated to cost 10 million. Almost six million of this will NMF retrieve from funds allocated to work for children and young people.
The other applicants will clarify what the municipality can contribute, before being made a detailed plan for the restoration of farms.
