Claimed Høie favored Molde in hospital controversy – TV 2

It wrote Chairman Stein Kinserdal in Health Møre og Romsdal (HMR) in an email to the general manager Astrid Eidsvik in HMR December 4th. E-mail is rendered in a 13-page memorandum on the matter prepared by the law firm Thommessen.

TV 2 has gained access to the note.

Kinserdal writes in the email that he accidentally met Health Minister Bent Høie (H) in Oslo, and Høie asked how it went with the run hospitals case.

” He said what we know; that it is important that the settings for resolution in HMR and HMN (Central Norway Regional Health, ed.’s note.) pointing at the same location. I answered him by saying that there are good arguments for both plot option. He let it then shine through, but without saying it explicitly, that he believes Hjelset is the obvious choice. “

Hjelset the area at Molde who was chosen as the place where a new hospital will be located after a harrowing battle.

– Confidential information

Høie has previously refused to answer whether he faced the concerned health authorities have expressed how the hospital should lie. When the matter was taken up in Parliament Wednesday, said the Minister of Health that contact with the management of health authorities is proprietary information.

– I have reasoned to Parliament why I choose to not answer whether I have indicated my opinion above health authorities. It is a confidential contact between me and the chairmen of health authorities, it is quite common in difficult cases and is a part of it to good corporate governance, said Høie TV 2.

– The fact that you can not answer an emphatic no if you added constraints, sounds too many like an admission?

– It is also why I have used a parliamentary question to answer why I can not answer a simple yes or no, black Høie.

– Strong signal

steward for doctors at Kristiansund Hospital, Åge Austheim says to Future Demands that email is the answer to the Høie has refused to answer.

– You managed it clearly outside corporate meeting in a case earlier business meeting had given ownership to Health Møre og Romsdal. This signal perceived Kinserdal so obvious that he thought it should have been held a special general meeting on the matter, says doctor steward Åge Austheim Kristiansund hospital for Future Requirements.

Astrid eidesvik thought Kristiansund was the strongest in hospital case, while her own board was about to land at Molde. Eidesvik felt that she no longer had confidence and resigned with immediate effect the same day she received the email from Stein Kinserdal.

Unfortunate formulations

In a telephone conversation with representatives of the law firm Thommessen clarifies Kinserdal that meeting Høie not lasted more than about 30 seconds and that Høie did was to nod when Kinserdal said they were about to land at Molde. Kinserdal perceived this as a confirmation that Høie had understood what he said.

“Kinserdal expresses that he spots Høie exercised corporate or gave some control signals during the short conversation. Kinserdal expresses that the formulations in the email to Eidsvik was unfortunate and went further than what was the basis for out of the conversation with Høie “, the report from the law firm.

– Know me not again

Health and Human Services Bent Høie says he does not recognize email’s contents

– I note that Kinserdal even says that mail expresses something other than what was talked about in the short conversation . I will mention this matter in my response to SCSCA says Høie in a statement Sunday.
