On March 12, held the famous radio man and society debater Dennis Prager a speech to Israel’s friends in the US. They were gathered in the organization Christians United for Israel , CUFI. The theme was the tremendous growth of Islamic extremism in the Middle East and the West’s lukewarm and foolish attitude to the most extreme manifestation of jihad organism ruthless brutality. He illustrated his lecture with ia grotesque video clips from the Islamic state, IS, how many terrorists have previously moderate Muslims from Norway.
One of the points of his was that while both Nazism and communism executioners sought to conceal from the public what they was doing , the Islamic terrorists to the opposite extreme, – they publish intentionally their most extreme abuses against people in the form of video films on the Internet. It is part of the terror in the same way as public executions.
Prager highlights two intended effects of this sinister practice: It leads to radicalization and recruitment among European Muslims Isil brutal warfare against religious minorities and other innocent people, and it leads to paralysis and reality denial at the West’s political and religious leaders. The latter are the effects of Islamic terror that has been exploited ever since the Arab imperialism earliest times.
Even among American (and probably European) Jews should understand that both they and the Jewish people’s nation, Israel, is high on the priority list for exactly the same treatment as now apply yezidier, Kurds and Christians in the Middle East, one sees a distancing of the problem as if it does not concern them. We believe that this western lack of abilities is part of the explanation why atrocities in greater or lesser degree will be allowed to continue and will do so for the foreseeable future. Western medicine is unrealistic and leave it to the Russians to show how Islamic Jihad and terrorists should be handled, – something they have managed several times in their own country.
The question that arises with increasing gravity is whether western countries not controlled and equipped so that Putin’s Russia, the head has means and determination to stave off a growing ideological and military pressure from Islamic jihadists and terrorism, or whether our cumbersome and increasingly liberal democracy simply could forbid us to fight such evil with measures that are necessary for civilization survival? In 1940, the answer to that question unambiguously, but will it be today? Have we in our humanitarian kindness made a national and international laws and regulations that protect terrorists more than the victim?
Our government is aware that we have a problem with Islamic terrorism, and they make some effort to engage with it. They make plans of action against radicalization and violent extremism, and engage consultants to prepare guidance and to keep it updated. PST has the matter on its agenda and follow up with what’s going on – at least as far as possible with available methods. We have bodies with great expertise in ensuring the protection of our vulnerable democracy is not so effective that it goes on liberalism free.
But what does the radical Islamists even if this situation? They laugh at the authorities’ actions, saying bluntly that they do not work. The leader of the extremist Islamist organization, Islam Net, Fahad Qureshi , which openly and freely get run its Islamic missionary activity and radicalization in Norway, believes the Government’s measures against radicalization is misguided. He believes conservative Muslim communities are best suited to stop radicalization .
He’s right on that point: how the relationship has evolved in Norway, only Islamists themselves which may make the choice whether they will behave as law-abiding and loyal Norwegians, or whether they will continue to agitate for holy war and enroll for duty as foreign fighters in Syria and elsewhere. Every Muslim understands this by itself without Norwegian consultancy.
It is Qureshis real political point is that if we instead to finance the government’s failure action plans transferring funds to Islamists, the problem with extreme Islamic violence for Norway competent disappear. This method is not new. It is one of the central elements of the historic Omar Charter of the seventh century, laid down in the Koran, where non-Muslims (ie Jews and Christians) could get away with jihadist radical wrath if they paid a special tax to the Muslims (jizya -skatt, ref. Koran sura 9:29) and then lived in submissive humiliation. It will be a political decision whether this variant of submission is acceptable to the Norwegian people.
Another variant that has recently been launched to get out of the dilemma is presented in a book by the conservative Islamist Mohammad Usman Rana . As a Muslim and loyal Norwegians will he reform Islam and prepare a distinctively Norwegian variant of sharia where there is no longer conflict between the Qur’an express injunction sharia and jihad and Norwegian law and regulations.
We will not initially reject Mohammad Usman Rana’s willingness to get the Islamic terror that compromises his credibility to life, but we ask ourselves questioning the likelihood that his Norwegian variant of this doctrine will gain support among Norwegian mosque-goers, or not to talk about among the world 1, 2 billion Muslims who represent a challenge for the entire western civilization. We predict that most of the Ranas reformation and adaptation will have to apply Norwegian law and society and not Islam.
If only as few as one in a hundred Muslims in the world is radicalized, we are still faced with an army of 12 million ruthlessly violent extremists, many of which tens of thousands have gone in favor of the Islamic state, iS, and new thousands increasingly recruited, also from Norway.
despite the fact that a prominent Islamic leader has explicitly claimed that it is no “moderate Islam,” it’s become politically correct to single out a group called “moderate Muslims.” We assume that both Rana and Qureshi seeking abode in the group. But we must not get in harm to forget that it is precisely from this group of Muslims that the radical Islamists are recruited in ever increasing numbers. That’s where they formed mentally.
If you with Norwegian measures should be so lucky to get avradikalisert as many as a thousand among them, we stand still, with so many back that the problem persists. Should we acknowledge what we face or still istemmer together with our politicians: This has nothing to do with Islam ? Shall we pretend nothing and wait until Putin comes with its bombers and fix things, or should we choose resistance rather than surrender, as our ancestors did?
