Norwegian convicted terrorists linked to secret bin Laden letter – TV 2

Denmark was high on Osama bin Laden’s terrorist list, showing letter seized by Navy Seals in the raid that killed al-Qaeda leader in 2011, writes Ekstra Bladet.

Abid Naseer (28) is accused by US authorities of being the leader for three terror cells in Norway, New York and Manchester. He was extradited from Britain in January 2013.



Seized bin Laden letter

Terror Cells were otherwise rolled up after a document blunder that led that counterterrorism chief in British MI5 withdrew in 2009.

Al-Somali was instrumental in organizing terrorist plans in New York, Manchester and Norway, and was later killed in a CIA drone attack in Pakistan.

The letters were presented as evidence in the Federal Court in New York this week, sent from different senders to Osama bin Laden from 2009 to 2011 and included in the evidence against Abid Naseer. According accusations he ruled out a terrorist cell in Norway who planned to bomb Jyllands-Posten in 2009/2010.

During the trial has five MI5 agents testified in disguise. They got quiet with wig, makeup and glasses in court and testified about the British counterterrorist operation “Pathway”, which led to the first arrests in the UK.
