Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Note 2: Spot The Differences - Auto-o-Mobile

The Samsung phablets are very popular thanks to the fact that they have large displays and the S Pen stylus. However no one thought that they would be as popular as they have become when they were first revealed.

Fans of the devices are hoping that come 4th September we will see another Note addition to the family by way of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. So to give you an idea of what Samsung may have in store for us with the new handset, we are taking a look at some of the rumoured specs alongside those of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with the Exynos quad core 4412 chipset which is the 1.6GHz CPU along with the Mali 400 GPU. The phablet comes with 2GB of RAM and it offers choices of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, plus SD card support.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the 3100mAh li-ion battery and this should offer around 890 hours of standby and around 6 hours talk time.

It is thought that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have the Snapdragon 800 MSM89774 chip, which is the same as the LG G2. The CPU would be quad core which is clocked at 2.3GHz; it comes with the Adreno 330 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 should have 3GB of RAM and it should be offered in the same internal storage choices and support SD card.

The battery life should be improved with a battery of around 3450mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could have the FHD AMOLED display of around 5.7 inches, which should offer about 440ppi.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the Super AMOELD display of 5.5 inches which offers a density of 267ppi and 280 x 720 resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with Jelly Bean 4.1.1 but users can update to 4.1.2. The Note 2 also comes with TouchWiz and this means it offers widgets, apps and functions that are intuitive.

It is thought that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have Jelly Bean 4.3 and this should be the last of Jelly Bean before the move to Key Lime Pie.

The Note 3 should also have TouchWiz, but at the moment we have no idea what improvements there will be.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a well-built devices and it is comfortable in the hand. However it is made from plastic, which some people do not like. On the plus side it is light to hold.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be made of the same materials and the display should be around .2 inches bigger, so it will be slightly bigger overall.

There could be a camera of 13MP on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and this may have autofocus, touch focus, LED flash and optical image stabilisation.

There could also be a front camera on the device which could be around 2.1MP.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has an 8MP camera that supports LED flash, touch focus, HD video recording along with capturing images at the same time, smile detection, image stabilisation and 1080p video recording.

It will come as no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will win over the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, as it is the latest handset. However the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is still a superb buy.
