How To Unlock A Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Or S4 - Auto-o-Mobile

If you own the locked version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or the Samsung Galaxy S4 you might be interested to know that you can unlock your handset and you don't have to pay out a penny to do so.

If you have the AT&T version of one of these devices then it can just be used with that carrier. But if you go ahead and unlock the device you can use it with any carrier and even used it anywhere in the world. If you want to unlock your handset you can check out the steps below.

Insert a SIM into your Note 2 or Galaxy S3 that ISN'T from your regular carrier. Switch the handset off and on again, with the new SIM inserted.

Go into your dialpad and key in *#197328640#. Head to Main Menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF. Then wait for around 30 seconds. After this, go to Menus and select Back. You should hopefully see Network Lock. Choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.

Just to be sure you didn't make a mistake, the sequence you need to type in is: Asterisk Pound One Nine Seven Three Two Eight Six Four Zero Pound. Some people call the asterisk the star button, and the pound button sometimes gets called hash.

Your handset should now be unlocked and you can use it with any carrier and on any network. This code has been used in the past and therefore it could work with any of the Samsung handsets.
