Samsung Galaxy S3 & Note 2 Android 4.2.2 Update Delayed Into November ... - Tekrieg

Published: 3 hours agoNew

You might have to wait until November for the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 update for Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 may have to wait for November before they see Jelly Bean it has been said.

It may even be into December before the update gets here. Apparently it depends on how well the Samsung Galaxy S4 sells. SamMobile said on Twitter that the delay may be down to a problem with the TouchWiz interface of Samsung.

We haven't had any confirmation of this being the case and it isn't known if the 1GB memory is an issue.

The update for Jelly Bean 4.2.2 leaked and it came with new lock screen, effects, transitions and some apps of the Samsung Galaxy S4. The only thing that was missing from it was the camera app.

So the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S4 may well be an issue.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 sold more units than its predecessor when it first came out.

Samsung could have held back the update so they can make sure that the apps are exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S4 for now.

Perhaps if the Samsung Galaxy S3 got the update along with some of the apps of the Samsung Galaxy S4, people would not want to update. Samsung will avoid this for sure.

If this could be the reason then it may be possible for the Samsung Galaxy S4 to get updated around October. People would be able to choose between the Samsung Galaxy S3 with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 apps or the Samsung Galaxy S4 and KitKat 4.4.
