Samsung Galaxy Note 2 spotted with Snapdragon 600 CPU - Know Your Mobile

A new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 could be on the horizon, shipping with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU.

The device surfaced on G4 Games, who discovered a mysterious device on AnTuTu.

The device is listed as running on Android 4.2.2, with a 1.9 GHz processor and achieving 26,901 points.

The website then came to the conclusion a device with these scores must be running with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor inside. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor is the same CPU as seen in the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.

G4 Games said, ‘with the inevitable arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and with other manufacturers showing an increasing interest in this particular market segment, our guesses are that the Korean giant could plan on releasing a more affordable Note alternative that should cover the mid-range market segment.’

A slightly different version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, with the model number GT-N7018D has been previously certified by the FCC and has also appeared on the official Bluetooth SIG website. not many details were revealed about either of these devices, but it’s though they could be referring to the device just spotted on AnTuTu.

This version will most probably be reserved for Asian or less developed countries, but we can but hope it will be hitting UK shores at a cut-price cost.
