Samsung Galaxy Note 2 successor two have plastic OLED display?

Samsung is Likely to Use plastic OLED technology for the display of the follow-up to the Galaxy Note 2 smartphone wooden expected to be Launched towards the end of the year.

According

two tech website SamMobile who quotes an insider, Samsung Wants to introduce the Galaxy Note 3 in the fourth quarter of 2013 with a formal launch happening at IFA 2013 in Germany in September.

The display technology, wooden display developed by Samsung is thinner than equivalent LCD technology and will have a RGB stripe. More importantly, Because it is plastic, it will be much lighter and possibly less thunderstorms two snap under shock.

An average LCD solution on a smartphone is around 3.2mm thick and weighs 160g. An OLED solution, as used on the Galaxy Note 2 is only 1.5mm and weighs 100g while a plastic one OLED (Commonly Referred two as UBP) is a whoppingly-thin 0.5mm thick and weighs a mere 50g.

There are two unknowns; Whether or not it will be scratch resistant remains to be seen though and Whether Samsung will be comfortable to meet the demand for the Galaxy Note 3
