Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 are able to unlock their handsets free and fast. If you unlock your device you are then able to use it anywhere in the world or you can go onto a new carrier.
For instance, if you have the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 you could unlock it and then send it to someone overseas. So to unlock your handset in quick easy steps you should follow the steps outlined below.
nsert a SIM card that's NOT from your carrier into the handset. Switch it off and on again, with the foreign carrier in place.
Open up the dialpad and key in *#197328640#. Go to Main Menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3]Perso SHA256 OFF > then wait for 30 seconds or so. Then hit Menus and choose Back. You should now see Network Lock. Then choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ.
To make sure you didn't make a mistake, the sequence you should have typed in is: Asterisk Pound One Nine Seven Three Two Eight Six Four Zero Pound. However some people call the asterisk the star button and the pound button is sometimes called hash.
You can will then have an unlocked version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or Samsung Galaxy S3 and be able to use it anywhere in the world and on any carrier. This code may well work with other handsets as Samsung have been using it for some time.
