Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Review: Beast With A Noble Heart - SidhTech

We managed to get our hands on the supersized Samsung Galaxy S3 i.e. the Galaxy Note 2. The first glance at this beast of a phone had us wondering who exactly would need a smartphone that's bigger, faster and more feature rich than the already capable Galaxy S3. So let's find out.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 review: more than a S3 on steroids

Thanks to the round corners, thin bezel and large display, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 shares the same good looks of the S3. The devices even have the same button layout of a middle home button and touch buttons to either side of this. The Note 2 comes in a choice of marble white or grey.

For some the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 could be too big to be considered as a daily driver. However thanks to the thin bezel surrounding the handset, the 5.5 inch display does not look as big as it sounds. The aspect ratio is 16:9 and of course this is superb for watching movies, even more than on the S3.

If your hands are on the large side then there is nothing to worry about. However you might want to get a headset if you usually talk for long periods of time, as the device can get awkward to keep your fingers wrapped around when held up to the ear.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has better hardware than the Galaxy S3. It comes with the Exynos quad core 1.6GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. In the US the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with the dual core processor and 2GB of RAM and internationally it has the quad core and 1GB of RAM. This means that the Note 2 enjoys the best of both, 2GB and quad core in one monster package.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 offers 16GB of internal storage and you could add on some more via SD card, which means you could have a total amount of 80GB. The handset also enjoys Jelly Bean out of the box. Thanks to its four cores and the fact that it has Project Butter, the device feels much faster than the Samsung Galaxy S3 when it comes to launching apps and scrolling through screens.

The device comes with a battery of 3100mAh, the original Note had a battery of 2500mAh, which gave around 12 hours of talk time. There is a camera of 8 megapixels on the back and the front camera is 1.9 megapixels. The battery in the Samsung Galaxy S3 is slightly longer lasting than the one in the Note 2. When tested both of the devices lasted for 7 hours when playing a video that was looped and on Wi-Fi.

The S Pen features have been improved and now it feels as though you are writing on paper with a pen. When you take the stylus from the dock you have access to Quick Command, Easy Clip and Air View. Air View is the perfect way to preview content by holding the stylus pen over the content and Easy Clip means that you can clip and share images easily.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 feature that cannot be beaten is the Multi-windows for multi-tasking. This lets you run two different apps simultaneously in split-screen.

Samsung claim to have sold more than 3 million Samsung Galaxy Note 2 units over the month. However there are some people that will prefer the smaller size offered by the Galaxy S3, but then they will lost out on the many features the Note 2 has to offer. So as you can see there is much more to the Note 2 than it just being a larger clone of the S3, it comes with some hardware that is superb and it has extras that might just tempt you away from the S3.

Head on down to the store and get a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 demo model in your hands. Its sheer size may put you off at first glance but inside there are many surprises that will have you thinking twice about your previous inhibitions.

Galaxy Note 3 vs. Galaxy Note 2: 6 Good Reasons Why You Should Upgrade to ... - International Business Times AU

Samsung Galaxy S4′s phablet partner of 2013, Galaxy Note 3 is rumoured to appear at IFA 2013 on September 4, 2013 with all-new upgrades and specifications. If you own a Galaxy Note 2, here are six good reasons why you should upgrade to the Galaxy Note 3.

Latest Software Version

SamMobile received new information of Galaxy Note 3′s software version based from trusted sources. According to their insider, the Galaxy Note 3 is going to be the most desirable Samsung device of 2013 running the newest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version and incorporated by Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

The Galaxy Note 2 remained in the shadow regarding Android 4.2 or 4.3 update due to the lack of confirmation from Samsung.

Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie

Since Galaxy Note 3 will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, owners of the brand new Galaxy phablet can expect Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie update before the end of 2013. Rumours point that Google may launch the next major iteration of Android devices on October 2013 which can help Android device manufacturers to update their phones and tablets with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. However, it is not clear how soon they will be able to release Android 5.0 software upgrades, unlike with the case of Nexus devices which receives Android updates almost immediately.

The Galaxy Note 2 was already having trouble with Android 4.3 update which makes Android 5.0 vague.

Brand New Hardware

Of course, the Galaxy Note 3 is going to be equipped with all-new hardware components compared with the Galaxy Note 2. The former flagship phablet features 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 CPU, 2 GB of RAM and 8 MP rear-shooting camera, while the upcoming phablet will boast quad-core QUALCOMM Snapdragon 800 or octa-core Samsung Exynos CPU, 3 GB of RAM and 13 MP rear camera – expect faster and more capable Galaxy performance with the Note 3.

Better Display Screen

The Galaxy Note 3 has an upgraded display screen based from the Galaxy Note 2. The predecessor has 5.5 inches of 720 x 1280 Super AMOLED screen display, while the Galaxy Note 3 may flaunt up to 5.99 inches of full HD 1920 x 1080 Super AMOLED screen display. It is bigger and fuller with HD resolution than Galaxy Note 2.

Release Date Ahead of Galaxy Note 2 Software Update

The saddest comparison between the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Note 3 is probably the release date. The Galaxy Note 3 is rumoured to appear in IFA 2013 at Berlin, Germany, on September 4, 2013, while the Galaxy Note 2′s official Android 4.2 or 4.3 update’s release date is still unclear. In addition, another report said that the Galaxy Note 3 is going to be publicly out in Taiwan by September 27, with pre-order date on September 16, 2013.

Hopefully, after the official launch, Samsung can finally put their attention on the Galaxy Note 2.

Future Proof?

If you are going to think about how many years someone could use the Galaxy Note 3, well, it may reach up to 5 years based on the hardware specifications reported by sources. Hardware specifications comprised Qualcomm Snapdragon 800/Exynos 5 CPU, 3 GB of RAM, full HD display, 13 MP camera and 4G LTE may last for several years, especially for those who are not going to “Frankenstein” the device. The Galaxy Note 3 is expected to support several Android versions later than Android 5.0. However, owners can only expect such from Samsung’s official software upgrades.

Choosing between the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 2 can be very tricky, especially if you are thinking how much the upgrade will cost. The Galaxy Note 3 will be much expensive but sports the newest software and hardware technologies, while the Galaxy Note 2 remains running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean without any way of updating its hardware components.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 happens to be one of the most popular of all the Android devices and it has won the hearts of developers too. It will get an update to Jelly Bean 4.2, however we have no idea when. So if you wish to go ahead and install Jelly Bean 4.2 you can, thanks to custom ROMs.

Bear in mind that care has to be taken when installed a custom ROM.

You should check out the following before rushing to install the ROM.

This only works with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 international version, this is the AT&T Galaxy Note 2, Verizon Galaxy Note 2, Sprint Galaxy Note 2 and the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2, the device needs to be rooted of course.

You should have 70% battery power left on the handset and this is needed to make sure that the battery doesn't die while installing.

You will need to make a back-up of the handset and turn off security on the device and the computer.

Go to Settings – Application Development and USB Debugging and make sure that this has been enabled.

Make sure that ClockworkMod has been installed and download the ROM you want to install onto the computer.

Follow the steps below to install the ROM onto your handset.

1. Install the Samsung USB drivers on your computer.

2. Connect your Galaxy Note 2 to the computer then copy the appropriate custom ROM and the Google Apps package on the SD card of your device.

3. Switch off the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and reboot it into Recovery mode. To do this, press and hold the Volume up + Volume down + Power keys after the device turned off.

4. Create a nAndroid backup for your current ROM which you can restore later if something goes wrong. Select "backup and restore > backup." You can select "restore" if you decided to revert back to your current ROM.

5. In the main menu, select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition." After that, go back and select "advanced > wipe Dalvik cache."

6. Go back to the main menu and select "install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card." Choose the custom ROM zip file you have copied on your Galaxy Note and confirm installation. Do the same with the Google Apps package.

7. Once the installation is complete, go back to the main menu and select "reboot system now."

8. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will reboot and may take up to 5 minutes to complete the first run of the latest ROM.

You should now have Jelly Bean 4.2.2 installed on your handset and you should be able to enjoy everything that comes with AOKP, CyanogenMod and ParanoidAndroid.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 panel leaked next to Note 2 - Know Your Mobile

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has appeared in a picture online showing its front panel side-by-side with that of its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 2.

The image comes from Japanese tech blog rbmen and GSMArena points out that the shot is a composite ‘of two separate shots that have been scaled to match the alleged 5.7-inch diagonal of the Note 3’. In which case, we’re taking this one with a hefty dose of salt.

But, fake or not, the image does give us a good idea of the scale difference between the Galaxy Note 3 and its predecessor, assuming that rumoured 5.7-inch display is correct. The rest of the design also looks quite realistic, in the sense that it’s a slightly more squared-off version of the Galaxy Note 2 and slightly larger with a narrower bezel, but still retains the rounded corners and Samsung’s preferred positioning of the company logo, buttons and speaker port.

According to the report that display bezel along the sides measures only 2.2mm. The result is that despite packing a bigger screen the Galaxy Note 3 is not much larger than the Galaxy Note 2 overall, something which was previously rumoured. Some reports say the Galaxy Note 3 will be a thinner device too.

The rest of the rumoured specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (for the international version), a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a full HD 1080p display resolution. Samsung is going to announce the device ahead of IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany at a special Samsung Unpacked event on September 4.

Galaxy Note 3 Photos Show Massive Display, Tiny Bezels, New Design - Gotta Be Mobile

A set of over a dozen Galaxy Note 3 photos show what appears to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 display with very small bezels with a screen that dominates the front of the device.

Samsung will announce the Galaxy Note 3 on September 4th at IFA 2013 in Berlin, which is where we expect to get the first official look at the Galaxy Note 2 replacement, but thanks to plenty of leaks we have a good idea what to expect from the Galaxy Note 3.

The Galaxy Note 3 display has been at the center of many Note 3 rumors with initial sizes reaching up to six inches before the rumors started to settle on a Galaxy Note 3 display of 5.7-inches, a jump from the 5.5-inch Galaxy Note 2 display.

One trick we expect to see Samsung pull off with a larger display is a Galaxy Note 3 that is no bigger than the Galaxy Note 2. Samsung successfully used this strategy with the Galaxy S4, and based on these leaked photos  it looks like our predictions of a repeat are correct.

This new gallery of Galaxy Note 3 photos show off what Sonny DIckson claims is the Galaxy Note 3 display. The parts come from a, "trusted source in China" who previously provided Dickson with parts. A second set of Galaxy Note 3 photos from ETrade Supply show more details and include measurements.

The display includes a Samsung Display marker on the back and tell-tale openings that point to claims this is a Galaxy Note 3 display being true.

The photo below leads us to believe this is a Galaxy Note 3 display, and not a Samsung display for a similar device. Like the Galaxy Note 2, there are openings for two sensors and a camera. The Galaxy S4 features a third sensor window just to the left of the earpiece, while the ETrade Supply images show one farther to the left.

New Galaxy Note 3 photos show a display and room for sensors.

The bezels are much thinner than the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Mega, ruling out those devices. The corners are slightly blockier than the Galaxy S4 as well. There are small markings on the back of the display that point to two capacitive buttons near the home button. The image below from ETrade Supply shows a screen that measures 5.68-inches and bezels that are slimmer at 2.2mm.

The Galaxy Note 3 display will be 5.68 inches according to a leaked replacement screen.

In short, this could very well be the Galaxy Note 3 display which would allow Samsung to deliver a larger display without a significantly larger body.

The image below shows a Galaxy Note 3 display and a Galaxy Note 2 display side-by side. Note the new corner design that could tip a Galaxy S4 inspired edge and back.

According to the measurements provided the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 display measures 1.8mm thick. We were unable to track down how thick the Galaxy Note 2 display assembly is for comparison, but thinner displays are one way manufacturers can trim down the size of devices. One leak claims the Galaxy Note 3 will shrink to 8mm from 9.3mm thick.

Leaked Galaxy Note 3 display photos arrive a week ahead of the announcement.

The Galaxy Note 3 display is $ 66 more expensive than the replacement Galaxy Note 2 display sold by ETrade Supply. The larger size and rumored 1080P resolution would explain this. We believe Samsung will not go higher than a $ 299 Galaxy Note 3 price, even though a high-resolution screen and new sensors could drive up Samsung's cost. If the price is higher, look for rebates and deals to immediately drop the price.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will likely come with an Exynos Octa 5 or Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 13MP camera. The display is on track to grow to 5.7-inches and jump to a 1920 x 1080P HD resolution. Rumors suggest we will see a swift Galaxy Note 3 release date, possibly before the end of September. We expect new S Pen features, though the details remain murky. One rumor claims we could see 32GB as the only Galaxy Note 3 storage option offered.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is set to arrive with a giant screen that will dwarf the screen sizes of some of the best smartphones of 2013.

Watch the two minute video below to see how big the Galaxy note 3 will be next to the HTC One, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S4. We also compare the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to the iPhone 5, which should show how much bigger it will be compared to the iPhone 5S.

Galaxy Note 3 vs. Galaxy Note 2 Size

We shared the original Galaxy Note 3 vs. Galaxy Note 2 size comparison yesterday which was nabbed and reposted on an Japenese blog before exploding across the web. After going back closer we've resized the image a little to account for screen sizes and it looks like the Galaxy Note 3 will be slightly taller than the Galaxy Note 2.

Galaxy-note-3-vs-Galaxy-Note-2-Size

The Galaxy Note 2 features a 5.5-inch 720P display while the Galaxy Note 3 should arrive with a 5.7-inch 1080P HD display.

Galaxy Note 3 vs. Galaxy S4 Size

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will use the thin bezels which were an integral part of the Galaxy S4 to keep the Note 3 about as wide as the Note 2. When compared to the Galaxy S4, the Note 3 is larger thanks to the .7-inch larger screen.

Galaxy-note-3-vs-Galaxy-S4

The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch 1080P HD display and the Galaxy Note 3 should come with a 5.7-inch 1080P HD display.

Galaxy Note 3 vs. iPhone 5 & iPhone 5S Size

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be dramatically bigger than the iPhone 5 and based on rumors the iPhone 5S as well. This is to be expected considering a nearly 2-inch bigger screen and based on the leaks it looks like the iPhone 5 might fit inside the bounds of the Galaxy Note 3 display.

Galaxy-Note-3-vs-iPhone-5-iPhone-5S

The iPhone 5 features a 4-inch Retina Display with an 1136 x 640. This is the same screen size and resolution we expect on the iPhone 5. The Galaxy Note 3 is 1.7-inches larger with a 5.7-inch display and a 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Galaxy Note 3 vs. HTC One

While the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is going to be an inch bigger than the HTC One, it is still going to face a challenge from the aluminum unibody smartphone. We could also see an increased battle with the rumored HTC One Max which could feature a 5.9-inch display.

Gaalxy-note-3-Vs-HTC-One

The HTC One comes with a 4.7-inch 1080P Hd display while the Galaxy Note 3 will likely add an inch to jump to a 5.7-inch 1080P HD display.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Update Details Pulled - Gotta Be Mobile

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update situation has taken a bit of a twist today as the carrier who originally said that Samsung would be updating the Galaxy Note 2 straight to Android 4.3 has taken the device and the update information off of its update status list without explanation.

Earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update was rumored for arrival. However, rumors soon sprouted up, suggesting that the company may have killed the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update in favor of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. This was backed up by Australian carrier Telstra who claimed that Samsung had cancelled the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update in favor of something else though it didn't explicitly say Android 4.3.

Read: Android 4.3 Update Breakdown: Galaxy S3, HTC One & More.

Look for a new design from the Galaxy Note 3.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is expected to go straight to Android 4.3.

Telstra issued that declaration back in mid-July and Galaxy Note 2 owners on Telstra, and on other carriers, have been waiting for more information about the upcoming Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update that very clearly is going to be issued instead of Android 4.2.

Originally, the carrier had this to say about the Galaxy Note 2:

Samsung have elected globally to skip the 4.2.2 update for this device and will instead go to a newer version of Android. No schedule has been provided for this update.

Just a few short days ago, Telstra released their new update status list though the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has mysteriously vanished without a trace. It's unclear why the carrier removed the information about the Galaxy Note 2?s upcoming software update and it adds mystery to a situation that is already a bit tense.

It could be that the carrier doesn't have any new information, though we would imagine it would have just left it up there with the same info if that were the case. It could be that the situation has changed. It could be that Samsung requested that they take the information down so as not to stir the pot. Whatever the case, Telstra isn't saying.

It should be noted that the Samsung Galaxy S3, which is also rumored to be skipping Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in favor of Android 4.3, isn't on the list either and hasn't been in quite some time.

The fact that Telstra didn't update users with a specific time frame for the update could mean that the software is not going to roll out for quite some time. Rumors have suggested November for both the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 updates and if that's true, we could see carriers push these updates out in 2014.

Since September, the Galaxy S3 has been on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, an older version of Google's Android software. The Galaxy Note 2, which arrived later in the year, has been stuck on Android 4.1 as well, the software that was on board when it first arrived. Both updates are expected to have some of the Galaxy S4?s software features on board with the new camera options thought to be distinct possibilities.

On September 4th, Samsung is expected to debut the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, a massive phablet and a compliment to its flagship Galaxy S4 which arrived in April earlier this year. However, another key feature seemingly leaked out a few days ago, a feature that consumers should be excited about.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to be coming with a new Broadcom chip.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to be coming with a new Broadcom chip.

According to Samsung-Updates, the Galaxy Note 3 will be coming with a Broadcom BCM4339 5G Wi-Fi chip, a chip that was announced back in May after the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 arrived with a previous generation Broadcom chip.

Because they utilized Broadcom’s BCM4335, both the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 launched with 5G Wi-Fi technology also known as 802.11ac, something that allowed the companies to cut costs, slim down their form factors while also aiding with performance, particularly with Wi-Fi connectivity. 802.11ac most recently came to Apple’s new slim MacBook Air models that were debuted at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference back in June of this year.

While the Galaxy Note 2 did not have 802.11ac support, it appears that the Galaxy Note 3 will be joining the Galaxy S4 and will have 5G Wi-Fi support on board when it arrives.

This is important for a number of reasons.

5G Wi-Fi offers several enhancements.

5G Wi-Fi offers several enhancements.

First, it could mean a slimmer Galaxy Note 3. There have been rumors that have suggested that it could look a like the Galaxy Note 2, including dimensions, though previously rumors suggested it could be as thin as 8mm, much thinner than the Galaxy Note 2‚Ä?s 9.3mm frame.

It also should mean faster Wi-Fi connections and wider range of connectivity, something that the Galaxy S4 and HTC One enjoy. These benefits, which include faster buffering times on video content, are perfect for an all-consuming device like the Galaxy Note 3 which is aimed at those who want to consume content and be productive on-the-go.

It’s also possible that it could help cut the cost of the Galaxy Note 3, but given that the device has launched two years in a row for $ 299.99, it’s unlikely.

The inclusion of this new Broadcom chip wouldn’t be surprising considering Samsung’s inclusion of 5G Wi-Fi on the Galaxy S4, but it’s certainly going to be a fantastic addition to a device that on paper, looks like a very worthy successor to the Galaxy Note 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to make its debut on September 4th with a release date rumored for later September. The release date has yet to be confirmed.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Release Date: What Not to Expect - Gotta Be Mobile

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch date set for September 4th, consumers around the world have likely turned their attention to the next big piece of unannounced information: The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date. While we still don't know exactly when it will take place, there are certain things that consumers should expect, and not expect, from the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 release.

For the better part of the year, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 details have leaked to the surface, offering consumers an unofficial glimpse at what to expect from Samsung's Galaxy Note 2 successor.

From a hardware standpoint, prospective Galaxy Note 3 buyers can expect some big time features including a spacious 1080p display, quad-core processor that helps give ample battery life, a 13MP camera that offers optical image stabilization, a design that could look a lot like the Galaxy Note 2, and of course, the prominent S Pen stylus.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will arrive later this year. Here is what not to expect from its release date.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will arrive later this year. Here is what not to expect from its release date.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to carry the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update on board when it arrives which should make it one of the first devices to run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. On paper, the device is looking like a beast and the real thing should live up to many consumer expectations when it arrives in just a few short weeks.

While Samsung hasn't confirmed the Galaxy Note 3 launch date, it's clear that it will arrive on September 4th ahead of IFA 2013. Invites are out, the stage is set and we will more than likely find out all there is to know about the Galaxy Note 3. Including its release date.

The Galaxy Note 3 release date is one of the device's last mysteries and ahead of September 4th, it's time to take an in-depth look at what not to expect from it.

Galaxy Note 3 Release Months Away from Launch

First thing is first. Do not expect the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date to come several months after the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch date. In the past two years, Samsung has made great strides to close the gap between launch and release with its flagship devices. Starting with the Galaxy S3, we saw the company push out the device in the United Kingdom just a month later.

With the Galaxy Note 2, we saw it arrive less than a month after it was announced ahead of IFA. And with the Galaxy S4, we saw Samsung release the device in a ton of different regions, United States included, just a month after launch. Clearly, Samsung has taken a look at what has made the iPhone so successful. Consumers simply don't want to hear about a device two or three months before it's released.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launch event is on for September 4th.

Don't expect the Galaxy Note 3 release to land months after its launch.

So do not expect the Galaxy Note 3 release date to land any later than a few weeks after its announcement. Late September has been rumored as a release window and that makes a lot of sense.

Given the Galaxy S4 release, it's possible that we could see the United States get the device sooner than the October and November time frame that we saw last year.

Early Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Release

Whatever the case may be, don't expect the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 to be released early, despite years of complaints from Verizon customers. The carrier has not shown a willingness to agree to consumer demands and so consumers should not expect the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 model, and there will be one, to be among the first to land in the United States.

Read: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Carrier Rumored Ahead of September Launch.

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 won't be among the first to arrive.

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 won't be among the first to arrive.

Instead, look for other carriers like Sprint and U.S. Cellular to lead the charge and get their devices out sooner than the nation's largest 4G LTE service provider.

Issue Free Release

This is an Android smartphone, one that will be heading to many carriers, and one that will be in high demand. So do not expect this release to go off without a hitch. While we can't say what will happen for sure, we expect there to be at least a few Galaxy Note 3 release date issues.

In the past, we've seen:

  • Delays
  • Supply issues
  • Missing variants (ie: 32GB Galaxy S4)
  • Release dates that move
  • Day one hardware and software issues

In other words, it's going to be a typical smartphone release. Anyone thinking that the Galaxy Note 3 release will be flawless better start tempering expectations now because it's likely that we'll see something ridiculous pop up between the launch date and release date.

Every Galaxy Note 3 Accessory on Day One

Samsung will likely introduce a number of official accessories for the Galaxy Note 3, but consumers shouldn't expect them all to be available on the day that the device comes out.

Like Google and its Nexus accessories, Samsung takes a staggered approach to accessory releases. Instead of making them all available on day one, it releases them incrementally in the months after a device's release.

Read: Wearable Galaxy Note 3 Accessory Pegged for IFA Reveal.

We expect Galaxy Note 3 accessories to take the stage. But don't expect them to be available on day one.

We expect Galaxy Note 3 accessories to take the stage. But don't expect them to be available on day one.

So while we should see a number of big time accessories for the Galaxy Note 3, including the Samsung Gear, don't expect to be able to order them ahead of the device's release. Instead, consumers will likely be forced to wait.

Zero Price Cuts

Retailers like Amazon will offer day one discounts.

Retailers like Amazon will offer day one discounts.

The Samsung Galaxy Note series is expensive, arriving with $ 299.99 price tags thanks to its massive display and the bundled S Pen stylus. While the Galaxy Note 3 price isn't known, it's likely going to check in at the same price point as the previous models.

For many, this will be a steep asking price, as smartphones are typically listed with $ 199.99 starting price tags. Those looking for immediate deals shouldn't expect them from carriers, but retailers like Amazon and Wirefly should have instant discounts on release day.

Those two retailers in particular are known for undercutting carrier pricing, even on release day. While the prices won't exactly be slashed by $ 100, there should be some modest discounts to be had that knock $ 20 or so off the carrier asking price.

No Retailers

Carriers won't be the only place to buy the Galaxy Note 3. As we've mentioned, Amazon and Wirefly should have it at launch and given the past success of the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2, we assume the Galaxy Note 3 will get the flagship treatment and come to retailers like Best Buy as well.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 was everywhere, the Galaxy S4 is everywhere, and we don't expect the Galaxy Note 3 to be limited when it comes to its availability.

Every Color Option

Samsung loves to offer an assortment of colors for its devices. Problem is, a majority of the time, those colors aren't available at launch. We don't expect anything to change with the Galaxy Note 3.

Expect a purple Samsung Galaxy S4 to arrive on Sprint that looks similar to this late-launching Galaxy S3.

Samsung loves to offer its devices in a number of colors.

The Galaxy Note 3 may come in some new colors down the road, but don't expect there to be a rainbow of options available when the device touches down. Samsung typically offers two colors, probably so it can keep its supply chain moving to supply demand, and while nothing is rumored, expect both a black and a white Galaxy Note 3 on its release date.

Don't expect colors like autumn brown or a pink Galaxy Note 3 to emerge when it's first released.

Samsung Galaxy phones, Note 2 get user interface in 9 Indian languages - Northern Voices Online

Top smartphones and phablets including Samsung's Galaxy phones and Note 2 will get user interface in 9 Indian languages including Hindi

This is going to make Samsung smartphone users in India a lot happy. The Korean tech giant that is the biggest smartphone and feature phone vendor in India has launched user interface in at least nine leading Indian languages for its smartphone and tablet users. This is going to further increase the acceptability and demand of its products across the country.

Samsung has squarely beaten other market competitors when it comes to smartphones in India. Even in feature phone market it recently toppled Finnish smartphone company Nokia to become the number one brand in the country. It has been launching handsets so fast that it has become sort of hard to keep a tab on all the handsets. Nonetheless its Galaxy S4 has created a record of sort by becoming the fastest selling handset in the weeks following its launch some four months ago.

With the new development, people in India will be able to get user interface on Samsung handset not just in Hindi, but in eight other regional languages. The languages that have been introduced include Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Gujarati. The devices supporting the newly introduced languages include Galaxy Grand, Galaxy S4 and Tab 3

Samsung, in the meantime seems very excited about the latest development. In a statement the company said, "The initiative will enable consumers to access applications from the Samsung Application Store in their language in various categories ranging from entertainment, games, utility, lifestyle, devotional and business. Users can get experience in their own language by using Chaton, Facebook, Gmail and Newshunt on select Samsung devices." Commenting in the new introduction, Vineet Taneja, country head, Samsung Mobile and IT , Samsung India said: "Availability of content combined with easy access is the key driver for usage of any language. We sense a need and a demand amongst users to communicate in local languages using their mobile devices."

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Note 2: Spot The Differences - Auto-o-Mobile

The Samsung phablets are very popular thanks to the fact that they have large displays and the S Pen stylus. However no one thought that they would be as popular as they have become when they were first revealed.

Fans of the devices are hoping that come 4th September we will see another Note addition to the family by way of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. So to give you an idea of what Samsung may have in store for us with the new handset, we are taking a look at some of the rumoured specs alongside those of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with the Exynos quad core 4412 chipset which is the 1.6GHz CPU along with the Mali 400 GPU. The phablet comes with 2GB of RAM and it offers choices of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, plus SD card support.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the 3100mAh li-ion battery and this should offer around 890 hours of standby and around 6 hours talk time.

It is thought that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have the Snapdragon 800 MSM89774 chip, which is the same as the LG G2. The CPU would be quad core which is clocked at 2.3GHz; it comes with the Adreno 330 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 should have 3GB of RAM and it should be offered in the same internal storage choices and support SD card.

The battery life should be improved with a battery of around 3450mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could have the FHD AMOLED display of around 5.7 inches, which should offer about 440ppi.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has the Super AMOELD display of 5.5 inches which offers a density of 267ppi and 280 x 720 resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 comes with Jelly Bean 4.1.1 but users can update to 4.1.2. The Note 2 also comes with TouchWiz and this means it offers widgets, apps and functions that are intuitive.

It is thought that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have Jelly Bean 4.3 and this should be the last of Jelly Bean before the move to Key Lime Pie.

The Note 3 should also have TouchWiz, but at the moment we have no idea what improvements there will be.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a well-built devices and it is comfortable in the hand. However it is made from plastic, which some people do not like. On the plus side it is light to hold.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be made of the same materials and the display should be around .2 inches bigger, so it will be slightly bigger overall.

There could be a camera of 13MP on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and this may have autofocus, touch focus, LED flash and optical image stabilisation.

There could also be a front camera on the device which could be around 2.1MP.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has an 8MP camera that supports LED flash, touch focus, HD video recording along with capturing images at the same time, smile detection, image stabilisation and 1080p video recording.

It will come as no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will win over the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, as it is the latest handset. However the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is still a superb buy.
