LG Optimus Pro vs G. Samsung Galaxy Note 2: Specs, Camera, Processor ... - Breathe Cast

QODE

It’s a phone. It’s a tablet. No.. It’s a “phablet.”

I’ll admit when the early days of the “phablet” I could not really see the value of the oversized smartphones. I was an Apple purist. If you want a big screen buy an iPad. If you want a smaller screen buy an iPhone.

If you do not want either, companies like Samsung and LG may have just the device for you. Two phablet the best on the market are the LG Optimus G Pro vs. Galaxy Note 2

The dimensions of the two handset’s are Marginally different. The Optimus Pro G may have a slight edge, being 6 percent narrow than the Note II. The height and thickness are almost identical. The Optimus Pro G is also 6 g (0.21 oz) lighter than the Note 2 If you’re in the market for a phablet you probably do not mind a little weight. These are just the specs. DO with them what you will.

Like Us on Facebook

plastic phablet Both have 5.5-inch displays however the Optimus G Pro has far better screen resolution. The LG phone has a 1080p display (1920 x 1080, 401 ppi) while the outdated Note II only supports 720p (1280 x 720, 267 ppi).

Again the LG Optimus G Pro beats out the Note II in the processor category as well. Though the Galaxy Note 2′s Exynos 4412 quad core, 1.6GHz is smooth and efficient, the Optimus G Pro features one of the top CPU’s in the game: Snapdragon 600 quad core 1.7Ghz. Both phones come with 2GB of Ram each.

Continuing it’s specs and features slaughter fest, the Optimus G Pro boasts a 13MP rear-facing camera and 2.1 front facing for video chats. The Note II is still stuck in 2012 with an 8MP rear and 1.9 MP in the front.

In conclusion, to compare these phones is senseless. The LG Optimus Pro G is a 2013 phone, while the Galaxy Note 2 is last year’s model. Samsung is expected two announce some details Regarding the Galaxy 3 Not sometime in August or September.

With Android trays PC, Part 2 - Amobil.no

keyboard eats up the text I write, and I’m struggling with accessories.

Espen has covered the telecom industry closely for 13 years and is the journalist in Norway that has tested most mobile phones. He has worked as a news reporter and program host in TV3 and ABTV, in addition to television production in Strix. Today he tests phones and tablets for Mediehuset Tek.

nearing the end of the first week of tablets instead of PCs. I have read through the comments to the introductory article to the experiment. There is lots of good advice about what software I should choose, and also some comments on the choice of the board.

As mentioned last time, I’m working now on a tablet from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 10.1. I could have used any other board. But the task is to check how far I get with an Android-board as a replacement for a PC. When the selection is more limited. The plan is to do the same exercise with iPad and Windows RT. It will at a later stage.

tablet swallow letters, and I get pissed

Now it’s Android that apply. Me and Android.

Heck.

Where it happened again. I had just written a long sentence, and would only correct a misspelling by chopping a few times on the “backspace”.

But what happens? I deleted a character, and then two, and release the button. Then continue your keyboard to delete yourself. Without any opportunity to intervene, I sat staring at the text disappears from the screen. How much will be gone this time?

Having swallowed a couple of sentences is equipped tablet, and I can continue.

So, where was I?

Yes, it was Android and Me, and the question of how long we must fight with one another until we come to a compromise that makes it possible to cooperate.

That

. Now I press “save”, in the hope that it will be possible to retrieve the text next time the keyboard will simply attack. These seizures are a little too frequent, and I know that my patience with this project is about to run out.

Office needed

As one of you wrote in the forum – it is the word processing program and a board version of Photoshop on the Galaxy Note 10.1. Office program called Polaris Office, and can also be used for creating text documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

I have also downloaded Quickoffice Pro HD and OfficeSuitePro with Quick Spell. Quick Spell is a separate app that provides spell checking program with Norwegian dictionary. The programs cost around a hundred lobe, with an addition of 20-30 million for spellcheck.

Where swallowed keyboard enough a couple of sentences. Now I press the “Undo” and wonder of wonders – the tablet regrets, and regurgitates the text again. Was it really that easy?

“Ctrl Z” will not work.

I try my way

Now I should probably write something sensible about the advantages and disadvantages of the various editing programs I have on board. And why do not I just Google Drive, which is free?

It’s hard to say. I certainly could have used any of these programs. When I get time, I’ll look into what features the different solutions support.

Now type in OfficeSuite Pro. It is quite similar to what I’m used to from the PC, and that’s OK. Here’s spell checker, word count and options to format the text. Text formatting do I actually quite rare, but I can create bulleted lists, indent and much more. The goal is to try all the solutions – I have three weeks left.

Big screen, but poor resolution

tmp_172847382. This layout is reminiscent of the PC, but the machine is still a tablet with Android, apps, and occasionally quite nerve-racking interface.

I must make a confession. I use a large screen. The board does not have a HDMI output, but I got hold of an adapter that I could plug into the charging port on the Galaxy Note 10.1.

You can say a lot about Samsung accessories, but why the hell is it impossible to use the keyboard and big screen at the same time? I plugged the adapter into the port on the board, popping image of Galaxy Note 10.1 to the screen. But when I put the tablet to the keyboard dock, and plug the adapter into the port on the dock, it comes no picture. No idea what adapter, ports and docks for something, does not it so much.

point is that you must choose between the big screen, or Samsung keypad.

resolution on the big screen is the same as on your tablet. The tablet’s resolution to live with. On the 23-inch screen I have on the desktop during scanty underdog.

solution was to provide a new keyboard. I chose a Targus keyboard with Bluetooth. The result is that I now have an external monitor, external keyboard and mouse to the tablet.

Still not a PC

Feel free to argue that I hereby have moved some distance away from it to work on a tablet. But it is the tablet which is the core of the layout. Keyboard dock can I use when on the move, while display and Bluetooh keyboard shall be left at the office.

accessories make it easier to work on your tablet. But it also creates some challenges.

keyboard has all the letters it should have, and they are in the right place. So far, so good. But when I’m out of habit to switch between applications or shortcuts to different functions, acting as the board often different PC.

I right click on the mouse to select text or select function menus, I’m suddenly thrown out of the program I work in. I use the scroll key in an app, I arrive at the home screen until I know what is really going on.

But now I’ll just post some photos of this article, before I take a looong weekend. The tablet will not be included in the May 17 train.

will also hear the first part of this series:

Galaxy Note 2 Vs. IPhone 5 Battery Life, Camera, Specs: Samsung vs Apple - Breathe Cast

Note 2 vs iPhone 5

Samsung’s Galaxy line has sold in bunches, and proved that a non-Apple phone can take the smartphone world by storm. But one of the company’s biggest game-changers is the Galaxy Note. Its super-sized screen and innovative S Pen presented a stark contrast to the iPhone’s barely-changed-since-2007 simplicity.

On looking the size differences, it’s hard to believe that both devices serve many of the same purposes. But, as much overlap as there is, Samsung has established the “phablet” as a new product category in itself. The core question in this comparison is Whether you want a classic smartphone, or a smartphone-tablet hybrid that has a productivity-based twist?

Like Us on Facebook

Though the iPhone 5′s face is larger than any previous iPhone, it’s much smaller than Samsung’s huge Galaxy Note II. The Note is 22 percent taller, wider 37 percent, and 24 percent Thicker than Apple’s latest.

The iPhone’s smaller size makes it Easily pocketable and comfortable for anyone two quarters. The Note II, meanwhile, offers a much larger screen while still fitting (if just barely) in most pockets.

Battery Life

But on the table of expectation, it is powering a 3,100 mAh battery, wooden Samsung reckons will provideh standby time of some 890 hours on 3G.

We’re not going to dispute that, but just point out that such Estimates are pointless, Because nobody will use their Samsung Galaxy Note 2 the way these experiments are carried out.

Remember, these are results obtained in optimum lab conditions. Life’s too short to try two replicate those.

In fact, it’s not even worth mentioning the quoted talktime, Because if you’re buying the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 just to use as a phone, then something is not quite right. But on comparing iPhone Gives it just a low usage in the terms of Battery Life.

In terms of raw juice, the Note II’s battery trounces the iPhone’s. In terms of experience, it should also Easily outlast the iPhone. In fact, the Note II offers some of the most impressive battery life of any “smartphone

Camera Footage

There are two snappers bundled with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 – an 8MP one around the back and a 1.9MP camera facing the front. Eight megapixels may not rock your world if size matters, but if quality does, you’ve come to the right place.

The camera is extremely Capable, comprehensive and intuitive. Firing it up is super quick – even the best feature if you put a shortcut on your lockscreen, so you can swipe into it from a standing start.

Megapixels, schmegapixels. Once you’re above a threshold certainties, things like sensor size take no more importance. With that said, both the Note II and iPhone 5 take great shots, and can Easily replace a point-and-shoot.

Fans of both platforms will argue until the cows come home – and you would not be crazy for thinking it all sounds a lot like the old Mac vs. PC arguments. We’d recommend filtering out all of the one-upmanship, and simply asking, “which phone would I be happier with?” Both have their merits, and we hope this points you in the best direction for you.

What that means for the Galaxy 3 is unclear but it could be that it uses similar build materials while also introducing a slimmer and lighter form factor of the Galaxy line.

Google Wallet adds support for Sprint's Galaxy S 4, Note II and HTC One, U.S. ... - PhoneDog (blog)

Samsung Galaxy S 4 HTC One

Google’s I / O 2013 keynote may be done, but that does not mean that the company is done making news. The company took to its official Google Wallet Twitter account tonight two announce that the Wallet app is now available to a trio of Sprint smartphones and as well as an additional U.S. Cellular device. The list of newly-compatible Sprint consists of the Samsung Galaxy S 4, the Samsung Galaxy Note II and HTC One, while U.S. Cellular’s newest Wallet Capable device is its flavor of the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

Sprint has Google Wallet preloaded on a number of its products in the past and was actually one of the service’s first partner, so it’s no surprise to see on Wallet being added two more of the Now Network’s hardware. It is still a welcome sight, though, especially since the products that are being added are high-profile devices like the Galaxy S 4 and One. U.S. Cellular’s list of Wallet compatible hardware is somewhat smaller, consistant thing of just the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Axiom, but the Galaxy Note II is a solid Addition to the list.

The Addition of Google Wallet support for four new devices may not seem like a huge news, but the list of compatible hardware Wallet contains less than 20 devices, so this new quartet of products is a pretty big deal. It also feels like it’s been a while since we’ve seen any hardware-related announcements Wallet, wooden makes today’s news even more exciting. Here’s to hoping that it’s not long before we see the list of supported products Wallet grow again.
